Ideas for Tutoring on Weekends –
We’ve talked about it before; there are only a few ways for making more money. You can charge more for your tutor sessions, or you can do more tutor sessions. Most times when you start your business you’ll be tutoring on weeknights. We’re going to talk this week a little about adding some extra money by tutoring on the weekends. People we’ve trained have had good luck doing them on Saturday mornings, and Sunday afternoons. They have said these weekend tutor sessions are much less formal and they get a lot done.
You can offer these weekend sessions to new students, extra time for current students, or like we mentioned last week you could have a session dedicated for a bunch of students to learn math, study skills or whatever your market needs.
How do you figure out what your tutor market needs? One of the best ways to do this is to ask questions.  As you run your business you’ll start getting some of the questions over and over again. Getting answers to those questions for current and future students can fulfill a need… and fulfilling needs will keep you in business.

[…] Make sure you make a note now of when your students will be taking their Christmas / Holiday break. You’ll also want to decide whether or not you want to be tutoring during the break, and you’ll also want to think about if you want to make some extra money. We’ve talked more about making some extra money during breaks before – you can find some of those posts at the links below. http://www.cleverapple.com/blog/adding-weekend-sessions-for-your-tutor-business/ […]
