Our apologies that this is late, we just ran out of daylight yesterday and today we have jury duty, so that’s why we’re doing this at 5am.
A big welcome to all the new subscribers. Thank you for joining us and we hope you’ll learn a lot. Please remind me that I need to create some videos. I should actually have done this earlier but we’ve had some pretty rough storms and more today. While I can write using my laptop / Ipad – doing video on those isn’t very feasible. So we’ll work on getting those out to you over the next few weeks.
One thing we will be doing is sharing them with you on Facebook. You’ll be instantly notified if you join our facebook fan page – and we’ll thank you so much for that.

—>> Advice –
If you have a facebook page (for business not your personal one) you’ll want to make to review how you named it. Apparently facebook has been cracking down a bit on generic names. Example if my facebook name was “tutoring”, that would be bad because it is too generic. How generic is generic, nobody really knows but if you put your name or the name of your business somewhere in your facebook name you should be OK.
So how do you change your page name (note you can only do it if you have less than 100 friends).
1. Log into facebook.
2. On the account tab – top right choose use facebook as page, then your account.
3. Under the name at the top choose edit info.
4. You should be in the basic information section. In the name section change the name and then click save changes.
—>>Â Inspire –
If you want a little inspiration (and learn some negotiating skills why you’re doing it). I would recommend watching Shark Tank on Friday nights on ABC at 8 pm. The premise is pretty simple. Business owners pitch their products in hopes of getting some funding. The sharks are the guys providing the funding (with their own money).
—>> Tutor Tips – Create a 30 second video ad for your business (part 2)

3. We’ll be using the free version – so choose a free template.
4. You’ll need to create an account.
5. Now choose the pictures you want. When done with your images, Click on the music tab and choose your music.
6. On the finalize tab click continue.
7. Make a good title and description.
8. Click Create Video. The processing usually takes a few minutes.
Next time we’ll talk about what to do with the video.
—>>Â Business Help – Â Putting all of your eggs in one basket
As you build your business you’ll want to make sure you have strategies in place and not put all your eggs in one basket. People lose their rankings for their website, facebook accounts (see the advice comments above), You Tube accounts, websites fail etc.
One of the reasons we teach in our guide many different ways for generating traffic (and more importantly phone calls).
I would recommend when you write any kind of content (for your blog, brochures, website etc) that you save it and then make sure you back up that information. It can save you a lot of headaches later on.
