My Dad is coming home after three months in the hospital / rehab facilities, so today’s issue is a little short. We’re continuing our product creation series – today we’re going to talk about what should be in product 2, next week we’ll talk about how to create it. The post next week will just appear on our blog, we will announce the post on Facebook.
First article – http://www.cleverapple.com/blog/products-for-your-tutor-business/

Next issues will Feb. 5th and 19th .
Product Creation 101 – creating product 2
Some reminders about product 2 –
Priced between $199 and $499 – this expands on the entry level product.
– will be your profit.
Example –
Product 2 – ($199) How to Make a 30+ on the Math Part of the ACT.
The goal of product 1 is to introduce them to you and your company and to get you some capital for advertising. Product 2 will be your profit.
Product 1 normally talks about a single problem, product 2 expands on the information presented in product 1 or works on solving a bigger problem.
Using our Math product as an example, we decide we’re going to create a product based on getting an awesome score on the ACT test. We have done our research and have found there are 15 different types of Math problems on the test (that is just hypothetical).
We decide to create a written guide with 15 chapters discussing each of the problems.
We will make videos that show us working for fifteen or so minutes for each of the product types. So about four hours of video.
Sample problems for each of the groups of problems, 50 or so samples, so 750 sample problems.
We’ll also provide Saturday / Sunday live review sessions. Students can come in with any questions that they may have.
Now think about your area of expertise. Could you write about 10 – 15 different problem areas. I bet no matter what you want to teach / tutor you could come up with quite a few more than that. You want to focus as much as possible. For our example we could have gone narrower. Think broad, then narrow it down.
Types of products – bundled together that work well.
